Challenge for the week...that is sure to hurt but also help.
Pick one person whom you work relatively closely with. At some point pull them aside and ask them to give you feedback about a piece or portion of your leadership:
+ How can I better communicate our new initiative?
+ Give me one up and one down from the meeting that I led yesterday? (what is one thing that was good, and one thing that needs improvement)
+ Be honest, what is the one thing that I can either start doing or stop doing that will help you and make me a better leader?
+ What am I missing in this situation?
Ask for feedback.
Set an example of a growth minded leader looks like.
The leader creates the culture.
Create a culture of honest feedback. And watch feedback become a strength in your program/org.
