Arrogance and self-awareness rarely go hand in hand

Arrogance and self-awareness rarely go hand in hand.

Embedded in a desire to grow in self-awareness is humility. The exercise of opening up ourselves to identify who we are requires a willingness to admit we have not arrived.

When you dig into your...

+strengths
+constraints
+gold
+shadow
+true identity
+fears
+how people experience you
+ect.

you will walk away with the knowledge that you are not always awesome. That you have blind spots that you are unaware of. That you do some things that annoy people...or even prevent people from wanting to follow you. That is humbling.

But this is the only way you become your best self. This is the only way you max out your ability. This is the only way you walk in the true self and not your false self.

The journey is tough...and humbling...but well worth it!

Q: Ask yourself "What do I do that probably annoys my co-workers/those I lead?" (PS. You can't humble brag- "I am just so detailed oriented and have such a passion for excellence that I can annoy people.")
