The unintended consequences of your culture

There is always an unintended consequence to the culture of your program.

For example, If you value attention to detail and the ‘little’ things, your athletes might have a hard time playing with freedom.

If you value energy and looseness, your athlete might lack discipline.

The higher level of embodiment your athletes display of a certain value, the greater the risk the unintended consequence show up.

The great leaders are able to build a culture around the values that are important to them all while mitigating the unintended consequences of that culture.

What are the unintended consequences you need to be aware of in your program?
