One of the unfortunate elements of having a long coaching tenure is that tragically you are rarely put in a position where you are the student in the room. I have always believed that to achieve your true potential you have to live on a never-ending ascension. So, you can’t have periods where you are just circulating your own blood. We all have to keep learning or we are going backwards.

The Auxano Cohort has helped me continue to grow as a coach and as a human being. So, I would like to take this public opportunity to thank Tim Corbin (Vandy baseball), Kevin Hambley (Stanford volleyball), Dan Heefner (Dallas Baptist baseball) and Pat Murphy (Alabama softball) for sharing their extraordinary wisdom and their deep humanity.
