Tim Corbin

My inclusion with the Auxano Cohort has been, and continues to be, one of my most favorite moments of being a teacher. To be involved with other teachers/coaches who have such a high passion for learning and teaching, and are willing to share their personal thoughts is better than any book that I could ever read. It is a "class" that I look forward to taking every month and I am motivated further by the energy that is stimulated on that call. I am greatly indebted to Travis... his care level for this project is over the top...I am so appreciative.

“Travis’ coaching cohort was one of the best things I have done in my 30 years of DI coaching. To be involved with such a great group of people was life-changing.  Each monthly call consisted of a subject that was both timely and relevant. Travis was an excellent facilitator and knew exactly what the group needed each month.”

I had the opportunity to be a part of Travis’s cohort this past year and it was one of the most intriguing, thought-provoking, and inspiring things I’ve done in my coaching profession in many years. Talking with other Division I coaches from different sports gave me great insight and perspective I was able to implement into the Utah Volleyball program. The camaraderie and vulnerability with other like-minded coaches was refreshing... having been in the “lonely seat” for many years. Hearing other coaches’ thoughts, concerns and creative ideas challenged me to continue to search for new ways to teach and help others learn

One of the unfortunate elements of having a long coaching tenure is that tragically you are rarely put in a position where you are the student in the room. I have always believed that to achieve your true potential you have to live on a never-ending ascension. So, you can’t have periods where you are just circulating your own blood. We all have to keep learning or we are going backwards.

The Auxano Cohort has helped me continue to grow as a coach and as a human being. So, I would like to take this public opportunity to thank Tim Corbin (Vandy baseball), Kevin Hambley (Stanford volleyball), Dan Heefner (Dallas Baptist baseball) and Pat Murphy (Alabama softball) for sharing their extraordinary wisdom and their deep humanity. And for Travis for recruiting us, organizing us and weaponizing us once a month to pour our experiences and sometimes our souls into conversations I would never have otherwise.

My experience with the cohort has been one of the most transformative experiences of my coaching career. Travis did a fantastic job of getting the most out of us through impactful conversations, great questions, and creating a safe space where we could all be vulnerable. There are few places in this day and age where coaches can get out of their silos and learn. Thanks to Travis, we all found a space!

Travis Wyckoff is gifted at the lost art of asking good questions! This is what separates him and makes the groups he puts together so exceptional. He's present and aware to find moments to throw in encouragement or a challenge when needed. You can expect these things from your time in a cohort: good discussion, brainstorming of ideas, inspiration to grow, and a good amount of introspection. It is worth your time!

The opportunity to be a part of Travis’ coaching cohort was truly a highlight. It blessed me in ways he’ll never know! I learned so much and continue to reflect on and use the wonderful “coaching nuggets” that were shared along the way!

I have thoroughly enjoyed our Kingdom Coaching Cohort!  Travis does an awesome job of facilitating conversation and asking probing questions that get us to think about things that we don’t always take the time to consider.  In a short amount of time, this cohort has helped me grow spiritually and professionally, while also developing deep relationships with like-minded college athletics professionals.

Travis Wyckoff and Kingdom Coaching is the real deal.  His coaches cohort gave me the opportunity to listen and learn from four of the most successful college coaches in the country.  He facilitates a learning environment better than anyone I have been around.  He sees coaching as a mission and sincerely desires for coaches to make a difference in the lives of our student-athletes.

Travis Wyckoff and Kingdom Coaching has been a Godsend for me and my leadership development. Through the cohorts and one-on-one coaching, Travis has helped me gain more confidence and self-awareness as a leader. He asks great questions to help me find my own answers rather than presenting a cookie-cutter model for development. Travis’ approach is very personalized, which has been transformative for me.

I was looking for opportunities to grow as a leader not only as a coach but also in my personal life. Travis is excellent at leading a group through different topics of leadership while allowing everyone to learn and grow from each other. If you like to learn and grow - I have not personally experienced something better than being a part of a group led by Travis Wyckoff.

“Travis did a great job of leading the cohort I was a part of. He asks great, thoughtful questions. This experience allowed me to get to know other coaches around the country. Most importantly, it helped me to feel connected in a job that can often feel very lonely. I highly recommend joining a Kingdom Coaching Cohort, I would definitely do it again!”

It is always very beneficial to spend time with great coaches and an incredible facilitator of discussion like Travis. I am one that likes to keep things close to the program and those close to me.  Getting outside of my comfort zone with other coaches that I did not have a prior relationship with was the best part of my experience.

“The cohort was a great experience and something I looked forward to every week. It was great to spend time with successful coaches in different parts of the country of all levels. Bouncing ideas off each other, sharing beliefs and thoughts in a controlled, yet loose environment, was extremely beneficial. I would highly recommend joining a cohort. Travis was outstanding in providing materials and keeping the conversations flowing smoothly amongst all of us participating. Great idea for any coach!

For my personal growth and development as a coach and leader, the cohort meetings that Travis put together were more than I could ever ask for. The information that was shared and talked about was something I looked forward to every week. I am 100 percent more prepared to lead my team now than I was before I took part in this.

This cohort provided me an avenue to grow and learn together in community with others in the same profession and journey. It challenged me to be open and honest with my peers and helped highlight areas where I needed to grow and develop. Travis creates a valuable platform and space for leadership growth to take place. His honesty and transparency seem to be the breeding ground for growth. Time spent with Travis in a cohort is time well spent.

I have known Travis since his coaching days and have been fortunate to have Travis work with our student-athletes, coaching staff, and administration at ETBU. His impact on our campus has been tremendous, as he has the unique ability to inspire others to focus on becoming a better athlete, coach, administrator, spouse, or parent, using Jesus as a model. In addition, I was blessed by joining an AD Cohort this summer and could not be more thankful to Travis and his leadership lessons, Kingdom focus perspective, and ability to generate conversation within our group each week.

Through all of the incredible highs and the tumultuous lows that the coaching profession can bring, Travis and his Kingdom Coaching program has helped me stay centered on what is most important in my life.  Travis has not only helped me grow so much in my faith and in my ability to lead my team, but we have developed a friendship during our journey, a relationship that will continue for the rest of our lives.  If you need advice in coaching, guidance in leadership or want to learn more about how to coach with Christ as the center of what you are doing, Travis Wyckoff is priceless and will deliver.

I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Travis.  We tend to invest so much in our players, that often times we don’t invest in ourselves. Working with Travis, helped me work through some leadership issues and struggles on my team and come up with a plan that helped our program be better.  He has helped me to grow not only as a coach but spiritually as well.  The fact that Travis has walked in my shoes before as a college coach is so valuable and because of that perspective he really knows and understands what we are dealing with. Working with Travis has no doubt made me a better coach, a better leader, even a better mom.

“Working with Travis has been a blessing and much more than I ever anticipated. In the beginning, I was very skeptical of having another coach mentor and coach me.

However, I came home one day and was talking to my wife about work stuff when she mentioned, ‘It would be great if you had someone that you could talk to about your challenges as a coach.’ It was at that moment when I decided to give Travis’ Kingdom Coaching program a chance and see how he could help me and my staff.

WOW! Travis has brought such amazing insight and value tome as a head coach and our staff. I never realized how much of a mental burden I carried as a head coach until I had the ability to share my thoughts with Travis, an outside listening ear, and create an open dialog about a variety of topics."

Having played and coached at a high level, Travis brings an amazing wealth of knowledge and experience to every topic we discuss. Whether it is leadership, communication, staff dynamics, administration, player concerns or our faith, his insight and feedback has truly proven of great value to me. I now consider Travis a mentor but also a friend. And I highly recommend his Kingdom Coaching services to all coaches, no matter what level."

Travis has been beneficial to me in several ways. He has a great perspective having been in the dugout and knowing what it's like to be a college baseball coach, he really helped me be a better leader with my assistant coaches, and he is an amazing listener and has great insight into things I hadn’t considered.
