A key constraint to being an elite leader!

Big issues start off as small issues that go unaddressed.

The best leaders create elite environments…and one huge key to this is knowing when or if to have a hard conversation (address an issue) and do it in an empathetically, direct, and candid way.

Fear of man prevents us from being honest when we need to be honest. It causes us to think more about ourselves and not about the other person or our program. So we shy away from necessary, hard conversations out of fear we will hurt feelings, cause an uncomfortable interaction, cause someone to be angry with us, etc.

It is kind to be empathetically candid. It is un-kind to be passively dishonest.
